In 1996, 14-year-old Tanya (Jordyn Ashley Olson), feeling isolated and struggling with a difficult home life, is groomed by Tom Hose (Robert Baker), a security guard at her middle school. Hose lures her to his home, where he holds her captive in a single upstairs bedroom for ten years. The film tracks her decade of abuse and the psychological manipulation used to keep her imprisoned, eventually leading to the moment she finds the courage to reclaim her identity and escape.
