⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY Birmingham, 1940. As the Luftwaffe bombs rain down, Tommy Shelby is forced out of his self-imposed rural exile. His estranged son, Duke, has taken over the Peaky Blinders but is playing a dangerous game, dealing in stolen war supplies and getting tangled with a Nazi agent named John Beckett. Tommy returns to a city he barely recognizes to settle family business and stop a plot to sabotage the British economy. It’s a wartime epic that shifts the Shelby saga from the streets of Small Heath to the global stage of WWII, forcing Tommy to decide if he can truly be the "immortal man" his legend suggests or if he’s finally met his match. THE PROS Cillian Murphy is epic status; he slips back into the flat cap with a world-weary gravity that makes his return feel incredibly sincere. The transition to a cinematic scale is a winner—director Tom Harper builds entire Birmingham streets rather than relying on CGI, giving the film a punchy, tactile grit. Barry Keoghan as Duke is quality, bringing a reckless, unpredictable energy that perfectly foils Tommy’s cold calculation. Rebecca Ferguson is a standout in a mysterious, nuanced role that adds a fresh layer to the Shelby lore.
