Overview

After Earth is ravaged by a great religious war, an atheistic android architect sends two of his creations, Mother and Father, to start a peaceful, godless colony on the planet Kepler-22b.     ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY If Ridley Scott decided to drop acid and rewrite the Bible on a distant planet, you’d get *Raised by Wolves* (2020–2022). Two androids, Mother and Father, escape a religious war on Earth to raise human children on the virgin planet Kepler-22b. It starts as a simple survival story but quickly turns into a high-concept nightmare involving giant flying snakes, devolved humans, and a mysterious signal from a "god" named Sol. By April 2026, it remains one of the most unique and frustratingly unfinished sci-fi epics in the 900+ archive, standing as a spiritual successor to Scott's *Prometheus* and *Alien: Covenant*. THE PROS Amanda Collin as Mother is a total win; her performance is bone-chillingly good, oscillating between "protective mother" and "flying death machine" with terrifying ease. Abubakar Salim’s Father is a sincere standout, providing a dryly funny and deeply human counterpoint to Mother’s intensity. The show’s biggest win is its sheer audacity—it is genuinely weird sci-fi that isn't afraid to take massive swings. The production design is a masterstroke, making the landscape of Kepler-22b feel truly alien, hostile, and ancient.
