Jack Alcott

He is known mostly for two roles on Showtime: as Jason Brown in the miniseries The Good Lord Bird and as Harrison Morgan on Dexter: New Blood.Alcott grew up in Franklin, Tennessee. He briefly lived in New York City while living the “struggling actor” life, but moved back home when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.Alcott appeared in several short films before earning his first television role as young Zach Chevalier on Champaign ILL. In 2020, he appeared as young Donald Ressler in an episode of The Blacklist.Alcott's first regular role was the Showtime miniseries The Good Lord Bird (2020) as Jason Brown. He then starred as Harrison Morgan, the now-teenage son of Dexter Morgan, in the Showtime series Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022), a revival miniseries of the original Dexter series, as well as the further spin-off/continuation Dexter: Resurrection (2025).

The first season one TNG episode he watched was "Code of Honor", which Garrett says is widely considered by all Trek writers to be the worst episode of Star Trek ever produced. On three separate occasions (in a span of a year and a half) he tried to watch TNG again and it was always a repeat of "Code of Honor". Wang considers this a good thing, as he believes if he was a huge fan of TNG, he might have been so nervous during his auditions for Voyager that he might have ended up losing the role altogether.
