He is best known for his role as Lieutenant Franz Herber in the 2008 film Valkyrie. In 2021, Schweighöfer appeared as Ludwig Dieter in the Netflix film Army of the Dead, directed by Zack Snyder. At the age of fifteen Dar began her modeling career. She was signed at Women Worldwide and Elite model management, two of the top modeling agencies around the world. Dar has been featured in numerous advertising campaigns such as Sephora, Samsung, Urban Outfitters and also appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan and Blazer. When she was 16 Dar was accepted into "Alon School For the Arts", considered one of the top schools of its kind in the country. While there Dar studied acting and was considered very promising. At the age of eighteen Dar was drafted for the Israeli Defense Force and served for three years. During this time she also worked as both a model and actress. Dar's first acting project was the lead role in Nickelodeon's "The Greenhouse." The show received many Israeli awards during its four season run and was later syndicated to Nickelodeon UK. Following the success of "The Greenhouse" Dar was cast as Nohar Shiff on "Scarred", an action series that has millions of fans and is considered to be a smash hit. With this momentum Dar was able to land the lead role on the internationally award- winning drama "Hostages." In 2015 she starred in her first feature film "Ibiza" which was shot in Spain.

She grew up with her stepfather, mother, sister Samantha, and brother Mark. She has said that she was the victim of bullying while at school. At school, Dormer was head girl, a straight-A student, vice-captain of the school netball team and she also got to travel the world with her school's public speaking team. During her school years, Dormer trained in dance at the Allenova School of Dancing. She describes herself as the "academic hopeful" of the family and was offered a place to study history at Cambridge; but, in her A-level History exam, she did not achieve the A grade she needed to attend. Dormer decided she would audition for drama schools and decided to train at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

He is the son of director John Glenister and Joan Fry Lewis, and the younger brother of fellow actor Robert Glenister.He attended Hatch End High School.In his early career, he worked as a runner for the Robert Stigwood Organisation. Following this, he worked until the age of 23 as a film publicist, but developed an interest in acting after watching his brother perform in a student play about the Sex Pistols. With the encouragement of his then-sister-in-law, Amanda Redman, he pursued acting and attended the Central School of Speech and Drama.In the early 1990s, Glenister appeared in various TV series including Minder, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Heartbeat, The Chief, Dressing for Breakfast and Silent Witness. In 1997, he appeared in Sharpe's Justice as Richard Sharpe's half-brother Matt Truman.
