Moana Williams
ActingMoana Williams is a New Zealand based actor. He has Belgian, Cook Island Maori and Croatian heritage. He started his acting career on stage at the age of 11 where he played Maui in the musical Moana Jr. with Nelson Youth Theatre. At 15, he has performed in almost 20 productions, often in lead roles. In 2024 his family moved to Auckland where he gained 2 awards in less than 6 months through NSPA and Stage Antics. He recently performed as Bill Austin in Mamma Mia with Westlake Boys College, directed by Dr. Nick Brown. After playing a small role in a local short film, Moana was sold to screen acting. He has been in 2 short films and made his big screen debut as Young Gareth in A Minecraft Movie. When he is not on stage or on screen, he works hard on developing his craft doing courses with Actor's Lab, founded by NZ actor Peter Feeney and The Actor's Program as well will be joining the Broadway Dreams NZ program in January 2026. Moana lives with his mother and 2 younger siblings in Auckland. Both siblings are also involved with performing arts with his sister, Lily Mahina Williams, making her screen debut as the lead in the upcoming short film Jasper's Belt. Moana is very musical with a strong tenor voice. He plays piano and composes his own music in his free time.
