He originated both roles, as well as the leading role of Berry Gordy Jr. in Motown: The Musical (2013) on Broadway, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. In 2016, Dixon assumed the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway company of Hamilton. He voiced Mr. Leaching in Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit (2005), and Bob the Baker in Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008). In 2009, he became the second person to voice the character of Wallace in the Wallace & Gromit franchise, beside Peter Sallis, starting in the video game series Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures (2009) which was a four-part, episodic, adventure game series by Telltale Games.
