⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY Danny Ocean is barely out of the prison gates before he’s planning his next big score. The target? The vault shared by three of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas, owned by the ruthless Terry Benedict (who also happens to be dating Danny's ex-wife, Tess). Danny recruits a dream team of eleven specialists—including his right-hand man Rusty, a pickpocket named Linus, and an explosives expert named Basher—to pull off a $160 million heist during a high-profile boxing match. It’s a game of precision, gadgets, and distraction where one wrong move means life in prison, but Danny is betting it all on a plan so complex even his own team isn't sure they can pull it off. THE PROS This is the absolute business of heist movies. Steven Soderbergh’s direction is pure quality, giving the film a cool, jazz-infused rhythm that makes even the planning stages feel punchy and exciting. The ensemble cast is a winner; George Clooney and Brad Pitt have a sincere, effortless chemistry that basically defined the "gentleman thief" trope for the 21st century. It’s a 9/10 because the dialogue is sharp, witty, and packed with proper banter that never feels forced. The heist itself is epic status—a multi-layered puzzle that keeps you guessing until the final reveal at the Bellagio fountains. Bernie Mac and Carl Reiner are also quality additions, providing some of the best comedic relief in the genre.
