⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 5/10 THE SUMMARY Mark Wahlberg stars as Mike, a down-to-earth construction worker from Jersey who still lives with his mum and hangs out at the same local pub. His simple life gets flipped when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Halle Berry), walks back into his life—not for a drink, but to kidnap him. Turns out, she’s a top-tier secret agent for "The Union," a shadow organization that handles the dirty work for the CIA. They need a "nobody" like Mike for a high-stakes mission in London because he doesn’t exist in any government database. It’s a blue-collar-meets-James-Bond setup that tries to mix grit with gloss. THE PROS The chemistry between Wahlberg and Berry is a winner; they’ve got that easy, lived-in banter that makes the romance feel sincere even when the plot is mental. Halle Berry is high-quality as the seasoned pro, and Wahlberg is in his comfort zone playing the everyman who is constantly out of his depth. It earns a 5/10 because the action sequences in London are quite gripping and look the part, with some decent rooftop chases and car stunts that keep the energy up. J.K.
