His simple life gets flipped when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Halle Berry), walks back into his life—not for a drink, but to kidnap him. Turns out, she’s a top-tier secret agent for "The Union," a shadow organization that handles the dirty work for the CIA. They need a "nobody" like Mike for a high-stakes mission in London because he doesn’t exist in any government database. It’s a blue-collar-meets-James-Bond setup that tries to mix grit with gloss. THE PROS The chemistry between Wahlberg and Berry is a winner; they’ve got that easy, lived-in banter that makes the romance feel sincere even when the plot is mental. Halle Berry is high-quality as the seasoned pro, and Wahlberg is in his comfort zone playing the everyman who is constantly out of his depth. It earns a 5/10 because the action sequences in London are quite gripping and look the part, with some decent rooftop chases and car stunts that keep the energy up. J.K.
