    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Think "John Wick" but with a sharp French accent. This gritty thriller follows Lyna, a young woman who watches her dad get gunned down and decides to skip the grieving process and go straight for revenge. She gets pulled into the world of Selma, known as the "Fury"—the person responsible for keeping the peace between Paris's six biggest crime families. By 2026, the story has moved into the *Resistance* chapter, where the stakes are higher and the fights get even nastier. THE PROS The action is top-tier and doesn't pull any punches. Lina El Arabi is brilliant as the lead; she makes the jump from a normal student to a cold-blooded soldier look completely believable. The Parisian underworld feels dark and dangerous, and the fight choreography is a proper standout—especially that brutal brawl on the high-speed train. The second season upped the game by bringing in new threats that make the original crime families look like amateurs. THE CONS The plot is packed with so many secret families and double-crosses that it can be a bit of a chore to keep track of who is stabbing who in the back. Some of the "tough guy" dialogue can be a bit cheesy, and the breakneck speed of the show means some side characters don't get much of a look-in before they're killed off. It’s a wild ride, but you’ll need to pay attention to avoid getting lost in the politics. THE VERDICT 8/10. A smart and genuinely explosive crime epic. It’s a fantastic series for fans of high-octane action and a solid pick if you want a slick, violent look at the side of Paris the tourists never see. INSOMNIAC TRIVIA • To keep things interesting, the "Olympus" council is a nod to Greek mythology, with each of the six crime families representing a different warring god.• That high-security train from the first season was actually filmed in a hidden, decommissioned station deep underneath the streets of Paris.• By 2026, the show has become so popular for its stunt work that fans have started calling it the definitive "French John Wick." THE VIBE Like a black leather glove on a cold night. It smells of expensive perfume, gunpowder, and the metallic tang of a sharp knife.
