⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Han Seol-ah (Park Min-young) is a high-profile art auctioneer whose beauty is as striking as the trail of dead ex-lovers she’s left behind. When the mysterious deaths of her former partners begin to look like a pattern, elite insurance investigator Cha Woo-seok (Wi Ha-joon) is sent to dig into her life for fraud. What starts as a cold, professional hunt turns into a dangerous obsession as Woo-seok finds himself falling for the prime suspect. It’s a sleek, seductive game of cat-and-mouse that asks if Seol-ah is a calculated black widow or just the victim of a very dark conspiracy. THE PROS This is a great series for fans of "fatal romance" because the chemistry between Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon is amazing. They play the psychological tug-of-war with an honest intensity that makes the "will-they-won't-they" feel genuinely high-stakes. The art world setting is a total highlight; the show looks gorgeous, using the cold, sterile auction houses to contrast with the heated emotions between the leads. It hits a 7 because it manages to keep you guessing about Seol-ah’s true nature for most of the run, and the mystery of the "Siren" is handled with a stylish, noir-like touch that sets it apart from more traditional K-dramas. THE CONS It stays at a 7 because the finale is an honest head-scratcher that leans a bit too hard into predictable clichés, undoing some of the great tension built up in the early episodes. It misses a higher mark because the middle chapters can feel like a bit of a slog as the investigation goes in circles to stretch out the runtime. Some viewers might find the shift toward a heavy romance a bit jarring when the thriller aspects were actually the most interesting part of the show. While the production is top-tier, a few of the secondary characters feel a bit thin and exist mainly to be potential victims rather than real people. THE VERDICT 7/10. A stylish, pained, and incredibly seductive romantic thriller. It’s a great series for anyone who likes their love stories with a side of murder and a lot of high-fashion drama.
