Overview

A secret project in Korea is exposed to the US so the project gets scrapped and the sample is to be handed over when a delivery accident occurs. ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY A gritty, high-octane K-drama that feels like a punch to the gut. The story kicks off when the final sample of a secret bioweapon—The Tyrant Program—goes missing during a handoff between Korean and US intelligence. What follows is a brutal four-episode sprint as a group of desperate people hunt down the sample. It’s a slick, bloody thriller that skips the fluff and goes straight for the jugular. THE PROS This is a proper banger because it’s short, sharp, and doesn't waste a second of your time. It hits an 8 because the action choreography is world-class; the fight scenes are heavy-hitting and genuinely visceral. Kim Seon-ho is a total highlight, playing against type as a calm, calculating director who is as dangerous as the mercenaries he hires. The dark, moody aesthetic makes every shadow feel threatening. It’s a great pick because it packs more tension into four episodes than most shows do in twelve. THE CONS It stays at an 8 because the plot moves so fast it can be tricky to keep track of who is double-crossing whom. It misses a higher mark because the ending feels a bit abrupt, leaving you wanting more depth on the supernatural elements of the bioweapon. Some might find the sheer level of violence a bit much, as the show leans heavily into the brutal side of the genre. While the characters are cool, we don't get much time to really care about them before the shooting starts. THE VERDICT 8/10. A smart and genuinely explosive action thriller.
