⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY The siren is blaring again as Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson) picks up the badge and the complete lack of situational awareness left behind by his legendary father. Working under the stressed-out gaze of Captain Ed Hocken, Frank finds himself entangled in a gritty, high-stakes conspiracy involving a shadowy billionaire and a plot to sabotage a major sporting event. It’s a relentless barrage of sight gags, deadpan delivery, and pained puns that tries to recapture the chaotic magic of Police Squad in a modern, hyper-serious world. THE PROS Liam Neeson is an absolute win in this. It hits a 7 because he leans into his "Particular Set of Skills" persona with such an honest, straight-faced commitment that the absurdity around him becomes twice as funny. The sight gags are a sincere banger—some of the background jokes are so fast you’ll need a second watch to catch them all. It’s an epic return to a style of comedy that has been missing from the big screen, trading meta-commentary for pure, unadulterated slapstick grit. The chemistry between Neeson and the supporting cast is surprisingly honest, making the pained moments of incompetence feel earned.
