⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Grace (Samara Weaving) thinks she’s hit the jackpot marrying into the Le Domas family, a dynasty built on a board game empire. But instead of a standard wedding night, she’s forced into a "traditional" game of Hide and Seek. The catch? The family is armed to the teeth, and if they find her before dawn, she’s sacrificed to satisfy a centuries-old blood pact. It’s a high-stakes, darkly comedic survival thriller that turns a lavish mansion into a gruesome playground, proving that "in-law problems" could always be significantly worse. THE PROS Samara Weaving is a force of nature here, transitioning from a glowing bride to a cigarette-smoking, blood-soaked warrior with an iconic scream that’ll rattle your bones. The dark humor is sharp and landing constantly, especially with the family’s hilariously incompetent attempts at being cold-blooded killers. It’s an 8/10 because the pacing is relentless; once the clock strikes midnight, the movie never lets its foot off the gas. The social satire regarding "old money" and entitlement is handled with a clever, mean-spirited wit that keeps the story feeling fresh. Adam Brody is also a standout, playing the disillusioned, alcoholic brother with a layered performance that gives the movie some unexpected heart amidst the chaos.
