⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Sidney Prescott has gone into full-blown hermit mode, living in a secluded home under a fake name, until a new Ghostface starts carving up the cast of "Stab 3" in Hollywood. This time, the killer is leaving behind photos of Sidney’s late mother, Maureen, forcing Sid out of hiding and onto the movie set. Gale and Dewey are back in the mix, navigating the vapid world of film production where the "trilogy rules" mean all bets are off and the past is coming back to haunt everyone. It’s the final act of the original Woodsboro saga, trading small-town grit for Tinseltown glitz. THE PROS The film is a win for its satirical take on Hollywood; the "meta" layers reach a celebratory explosion when the real actors meet the actors playing them in the movie-within-a-movie. Parker Posey is a total belter as Jennifer Jolie, providing a comedic energy that nearly steals the show. Neve Campbell continues to give a sincere, powerhouse performance, making Sidney’s trauma feel real even when the plot gets a bit wild. It’s a decent closer that manages to wrap up the mystery of Maureen Prescott’s past, providing a sincere sense of closure for the fans who stuck through the bloodbath. THE CONS It earns a 7/10 because the shift from horror to "Scooby-Doo" mystery is a bit of a head-scratcher.
