JAMES NESBITT

James Nesbitt is a prominent Northern Irish actor, whose impressive career spans theatre, television, and film. Born in Ballymena, County Antrim, he spent his formative years in the quaint village of Broughshane before relocating to Coleraine. Initially aspiring to follow in his father’s footsteps as an educator, he began studying French at the University of Ulster. However, the allure of acting proved too strong, prompting him to leave his studies and pursue a degree at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, from which he graduated in 1987.

Nesbitt’s early career saw him immersed in a variety of theatrical productions.
