⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Clark is a failing furniture store owner whose life is falling apart. Just when he thinks things cannot get worse, he discovers a literal portal to another dimension in his shop's basement. Instead of a magical wonderland, he steps into an infinite, soul-crushing maze of beige carpets, drop ceilings, and flickering fluorescent lights. When his therapist Mary follows him into this endless liminal nightmare, they quickly realize they are not alone. It is a surreal, deeply unsettling psychological horror that turns the mundane architecture of office buildings into a terrifying labyrinth.[review] This earns an 8/10 because it is a masterclass in atmospheric dread. Kane Parsons takes his viral internet concept and expands it into a massive, visually stunning nightmare. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve bring genuine emotional weight to the madness, anchoring the surreal horror in very real human trauma. The production design is incredible, capturing that specific, nauseating yellow light of endless empty hallways perfectly. It plays like a bad dream you cannot wake up from. It misses a higher rating because the narrative gets slightly tangled in its own lore during the third act, leaving a few too many questions unanswered.
