⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY Fifty years into the future, Terry McGinnis is finally settling into the cowl when the impossible happens: the Joker returns to Gotham, looking exactly as he did decades ago. As the Clown Prince of Crime launches a devastating personal attack on Bruce Wayne’s legacy, a horrifying secret from the past is unearthed—one involving Tim Drake and a night that changed the Bat-family forever. This is a psychological thriller that bridges the gap between the old guard and the new, exploring the trauma of the mask in a way that is genuinely chilling. THE PROS This is a win because it treats its audience with total respect, delivering a story that is as mature and haunting as any live-action blockbuster. Mark Hamill’s performance is a sincere masterclass; he is at his most lethal and sadistic here, making every laugh feel like a genuine threat. The flashback sequence is a total belter and remains one of the most powerful pieces of superhero storytelling ever put to screen—it’s visceral, tragic, and explains exactly why Bruce became so isolated in his old age. Terry truly earns the mantle here, proving he isn’t just "Batman Lite" by defeating the Joker using his own unique strengths rather than Bruce's methods.
