    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Forty years after his first trip to the 90210, Axel Foley is back in Beverly Hills, and surprisingly, he’s still got the badge. This Netflix sequel sees Axel return after his estranged daughter, Jane (Taylour Paige), is threatened while defending a framed cop-killer. To uncover the conspiracy, Axel has to team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his old pals Taggart and Rosewood. It’s a high-energy mix of nostalgic callbacks and modern action, proving that even at 63, Axel Foley can still cause enough property damage to give a police chief a migraine. THE PROS Eddie Murphy slips back into the Detroit Lions jacket like he never took it off; his charisma is the engine that keeps the whole movie running. The chemistry between him and Taylour Paige is surprisingly sincere, providing a grounded father-daughter arc that gives the movie more heart than your average legacy sequel. It’s an 8/10 because the action is heavy on practical stunts—the opening snowplow chase in Detroit and a chaotic helicopter sequence through LA feel gritty and real. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a great addition, playing the "straight man" to Axel’s chaos without fading into the background. The return of the original synth score and classic tracks like "The Heat Is On" makes the whole experience feel like a massive win for fans of the original trilogy. THE CONS It earns an 8/10 because the middle part is quite sluggish, spending a bit too much time on the investigation when we just want to see Axel wisecracking his way through fancy hotels.
