⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Natasha Romanoff is on the run after the Avengers fall apart, but her past catches up when a conspiracy linked to the Red Room resurfaces. She’s forced to reunite with her "family" of Russian sleeper agents—including her sister Yelena and the washed-up Red Guardian—to take down Dreykov, the man who turns young girls into brainwashed assassins. It’s a globe-trotting mission to destroy the Red Room once and for all while dodging Taskmaster, a villain who can mimic every move Natasha makes. THE PROS Florence Pugh is a total win as Yelena; her banter and the way she mocks Natasha’s "hero posing" is quality. The opening credits sequence is epic status, setting a dark, grounded tone that feels more like a spy thriller than a typical cape flick. The chemistry between the dysfunctional family is a winner and provides the sincere heart the movie needs. It’s a 7/10 because the hand-to-hand combat is punchy and visceral, especially the kitchen scrap between the sisters. David Harbour as the Red Guardian is pure comedy gold and keeps things light when the plot gets heavy. THE CONS It earns a 7/10 because Taskmaster is a bit of a damp squib—a cool power set wasted on a silent henchman with zero personality. The final act in the floating fortress feels quality-deficient and retreats back into the usual "big CGI explosion" formula that clashes with the gritty spy vibe of the first half. It misses an 8/10 mark because the pacing feels sluggish during the long dialogue scenes at the farmhouse, and the movie arrived about five years too late to have the impact it deserved. THE SUMMARY
