Overview

Retired martial arts world champion Alex Faulkner has settled into a simple life, when the disappearance of two of his students leads to an unthinkable discovery close to home. Just when all hope of finding the children is lost, he locates the imprisoned girls and unsurfaces an international child trafficking operation, which draws him back into the fight of his life against those behind it.

Alex White (played by writer/director/stunt-wizard Bren Foster) is a retired MMA champion running a quiet martial arts school. His peaceful life is shattered when two of his young students go missing, leading him into a dark confrontation with an international human trafficking ring. What starts as a slow-burn character study shifts gears into one of the most brutal and technically impressive action movies in years. It’s an honest, gritty look at a man pushed to his limits, using his lethal skills for the ultimate rescue. THE PROS The action is the absolute winner here. Bren Foster is a high-quality martial artist in real life, and it shows—the fight choreography is some of the best seen since *The Raid*. There’s no shaky-cam or "choppy" editing; the camera stays wide so you can see every sincere, bone-crunching strike. It earns an 8/10 because it balances these "epic" fight sequences with a story that actually has some heart and weight. The first part does a great job of building White’s character and his bond with his students, making the eventual rampage feel completely earned and gripping.
