⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 6/10 THE SUMMARY When a buff and "jacked" Santa Claus (code name: Red One) is kidnapped from the North Pole, the E.L.F. Head of Security, Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson), is forced to team up with the world's most cynical bounty hunter and hacker, Jack O’Malley (Chris Evans). Together, they dive into a hidden world of mythological oversight to track down the Christmas witch Grýla before she can ruin the holiday. It’s a high-budget, "Men in Black" style take on Christmas folklore that swaps traditional sentiment for high-tech gadgets, polar bear bodyguards, and a legendary amount of CGI muscle. THE PROS This earns its 6/10 because the world-building is an absolute winner. Seeing a high-quality, modern spin on characters like Krampus and the Yule Lads is a legendary shout that keeps the setting feeling fresh and honest. J.K. Simmons is absolute quality as a shredded, gym-rat Santa, and the chemistry between The Rock and Chris Evans is a total banger—they spark off each other with a sincere, odd-couple energy that carries the movie.
