Clark Kent (David Corenswet) is a pained, optimistic outsider trying to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his humble Kansas upbringing. Far from a gritty origin story, we join a Clark who is already established at the Daily Planet, navigating a Metropolis filled with established superheroes and a brewing conflict involving a cold, calculating Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult). It’s a vibrant, epic journey about finding hope in a fractured world and proving that being a "good person" is the most powerful act of all. THE PROS This is an absolute win for the character and the genre. It hits a 9 because David Corenswet is a sincere revelation; he perfectly captures that honest, "big blue Boy Scout" energy without it feeling cheesy or dated. The chemistry between him and Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane is an absolute banger—it's witty, sharp, and provides a pained, human heart to the massive spectacle. Nicholas Hoult’s Lex is an epic highlight, playing the role with a pained intelligence that feels genuinely threatening.
