Grappling with his bloody past and a failing body, the legendary outlaw is forced out of the shadows to wage one last, desperate war against a corrupt world. THE PROSHugh Jackman is absolutely magnificent, dropping all Hollywood gloss to deliver a raw, physically exhausting performance as a man crushed by the weight of his own myth. The chemistry between him and Jodie Comer is electric, anchoring the film's heavy emotional core perfectly. Director Michael Sarnoski swaps out the usual merry-men campness for a gritty, atmospheric, and beautifully shot survival drama that treats the legend with a proper sense of mythic weight and historical realism.
