⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 5/10 THE SUMMARY Keanu Reeves stars as Richard Ramsay, a defense attorney who takes on a tough case for a family friend. A teenage boy, Mike (Gabriel Basso), is accused of murdering his wealthy father (Jim Belushi), and the evidence—including Mike’s own confession at the scene—seems absolute. The twist? Mike has gone completely silent and refuses to speak to anyone, including his own legal team. Ramsay, alongside a young, high-quality associate played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, has to navigate a courtroom of secrets and lies to figure out what really happened that day in the family home. THE PROS Keanu Reeves is always a winner, and seeing him in a more subdued, "suit-and-tie" role is a legendary change of pace from his usual high-octane action. Gugu Mbatha-Raw is high-quality as the junior lawyer, bringing a sincere bit of moral grounding to a story that feels increasingly murky.
