    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARYBased on the absolute madness of the 2020 lockdown mobile game, a colorful crew of tiny, armless astronauts are stuck on a spaceship doing mundane maintenance chores. The twist? One of them is secretly a shape-shifting alien monster who is brutally slicing up the crew one by one. The survivors have to use frantic emergency meetings to suss out the killer before the entire ship goes dark. THE PROSIt is infinitely better than it has any right to be, completely avoiding the usual lazy cash-in trap. Creator Owen Dennis brings a brilliant mix of sharp, fast-paced comedy and genuinely tense, gory horror that honors the source material perfectly. The voice cast is absolutely stellar, with Randall Park playing an overbearing, useless captain and Elijah Wood putting in a cracking shift as a clueless, eager-to-please intern who is literally paid in pizza. THE CONSBecause each of the ten episodes clocks in at a super tight fifteen minutes, the mystery can occasionally feel a bit rushed, not giving you much time to piece together the clues yourself. If you aren't already familiar with the specific quirks of the game—like the obsession with vents and card-swiping tasks—a few of the bigger visual gags might go clean over your head. THE VERDICTA proper 8/10. A short, sharp, and wonderfully chaotic adaptation that treats its ridiculous premise with the perfect amount of seriousness. It comfortably hits an 8 because it manages to turn literal animated beans into genuinely expressive, funny characters with high stakes. It only misses a 9 because the rapid-fire format leaves a few subplots feeling a bit light, but as a pure, nostalgic binge-watch, it is top-tier entertainment. INSOMNIAC TRIVIA• Surprise Drop: Paramount completely shadow-dropped all ten episodes of the first season simultaneously on their platform, catching the entire internet off guard just hours before its official presentation at the 2026 Summer Game Fest.• Custom Expressions: Because the characters inherently lack proper human faces, the animators at Titmouse had to heavily rely on oversized visor reflections and extreme body language to make the crewmates look uniquely terrified.• Deep Lore: To reward hardcore fans who spent hundreds of hours on the game, the writers subtly hidden actual kill-screens and specific task animations from the original app as major plot points throughout the episodes. THE VIBELike playing a high-stakes board game with a group of mates where everyone is screaming and pointing fingers. It smells like hot pizza, spaceship metal, and pure, unadulterated betrayal.
