In a move that feels like a "fish out of water" buddy comedy, he agrees to train deputy sheriff Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) in the ways of the echidna warrior. By April 2026, the series has settled into its legacy as a quirky "Wade-centric" adventure that bridged the gap perfectly before the massive cinematic release of *Sonic 3*.
