    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Part of the Ryan Murphy anthology series, Love Story focuses on the intense and tragic real-life romance between John F. Kennedy Jr. (Paul Anthony Kelly) and Carolyn Bessette (Sarah Pidgeon). The nine-episode series tracks their lives from the mid-90s, charting their meeting, their secret wedding on Cumberland Island, and the crushing weight of being the world's most famous couple. It pulls back the curtain on the private moments—the arguments, the love, and the relentless paparazzi that turned their daily life into a fishbowl—all leading up to the sunset plane crash that shocked the globe. THE PROS This show is a massive result for fans of character-driven drama because it feels surprisingly human rather than just a tabloid recreation. It hits an 8 because the lead actors have honest chemistry that makes you forget you're watching a "JFK Jr. story" and makes you care about the actual people. Paul Anthony Kelly captures that "prince of America" charm without it feeling like a caricature, while Sarah Pidgeon is a highlight as Carolyn, showing the pained struggle of a woman trying to keep her identity while being chased by a "zombie-like" horde of photographers. The 90s soundtrack is epic, loaded with needle drops that ground the story in a specific time and place. It’s a smart, stylish look at the cost of fame that manages to be respectful while still being gripping. THE CONS It stays at an 8 because the looming tragedy of the ending can make some of the lighter episodes feel a bit like a slog, as you’re constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop.
