It plays things fairly grounded, focusing less on spectacle and more on tension, relationships, and the slow build toward consequences that feel inevitable. ​ THE PROS ​The performances do most of the heavy lifting here. The lead brings a rough, unpredictable edge that keeps things interesting, especially in quieter moments where you’re never quite sure what he’s thinking. There’s a nice sense of realism to the dialogue—nothing feels overly polished, which helps sell the world. When it leans into its darker themes, it actually lands, with a few moments that feel properly tense rather than forced. ​ THE CONS ​It struggles to stand out. The story beats can feel familiar, like you’ve seen a slightly better version of this somewhere else.
