    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 6/10​ THE SUMMARY ​Kate Hudson stars as the newly appointed president of a legendary NBA franchise after her father kicks the bucket. It’s essentially a workplace comedy where she has to manage her eccentric brothers, a roster of oversized egos, and the looming shadow of her family's legacy. Think Succession but with more dribbling and significantly less trauma, focusing on the chaos that happens in the front office rather than on the court.​ THE PROS ​Kate Hudson is actually great here—she brings that effortless rom-com charm to a role that requires her to be a "girlboss" without being annoying about it. The supporting cast, including Max Greenfield, keeps the energy high, and the banter feels like a throwback to those snappy, mid-2000s sitcoms. It’s light, breezy, and the production value makes the Lakers-esque world feel authentic. It’s the perfect "I don't want to think too hard" watch after a long day.​ THE CONS ​If you’re a die-hard basketball fan looking for deep sports analysis, you’re in the wrong place. The "NBA" side of things is mostly a backdrop for family squabbles and office politics. It hits every predictable beat in the "woman in a man’s world" playbook, and some of the jokes feel like they were pulled from a 2012 Twitter thread.
