Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team in Macrodata Refinement who only know each other within the sterile, white-walled office. When a former colleague appears in Mark's "outside" life, he begins a pained journey to uncover the truth about his job. Season 2, which concluded in March 2025, pushed the mystery even further, exploring the "severed" floor's darker departments and the terrifying reach of the Eagan family legacy. THE PROS This is an epic series because it is quite literally a perfect television show. It hits a 10 because the concept is a total highlight—it’s the ultimate, pained commentary on work-life balance and corporate gaslighting. The direction by Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson is smart and atmospheric, using symmetrical shots and a haunting score to make a simple office hallway feel like a labyrinth of dread. Adam Scott is amazing, but it’s the ensemble—Christopher Walken, John Turturro, and Patricia Arquette—that makes this a sincere masterclass in acting.
