Picking up right where the classic series left off, the story follows the mutant heroes as they face a dangerous and uncertain new world following the loss of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier. Forced to band together under the shocking leadership of their former enemy Magneto, the team must navigate intense political hatred, devastating personal betrayals, and a brutal new robotic threat that pushes mutantkind to the absolute brink of survival. THE PROSThe writing is absolutely masterclass, treating the characters with massive maturity and delivering an emotionally heavy, complex story that will give you proper goosebumps. The animation is a stunning blend of old-school nostalgic designs and jaw-dropping modern fluidity, making the massive power battles look incredibly dynamic and beautifully stylized. Every single voice actor brings their absolute A-game, especially morphing the classic themes into a deeply impactful, dramatic soap opera that hits like a physical punch. THE CONSBecause the series moves at a completely breakneck pace to cram massive comic book storylines into ten episodes, a few big character developments happen incredibly fast and don't get much room to breathe. The massive, reality-bending plot twists in the final three episodes are so overwhelming that viewers who aren't deeply familiar with classic X-Men lore might find themselves a bit lost in the chaos.
