⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Adam (Andrew Scott) is a screenwriter living a lonely existence in a silent London tower block. His isolated routine is broken by a chance encounter with Harry (Paul Mescal), a mysterious neighbour who sparks a flicker of connection. But while a romance begins to bloom, Adam finds himself pulled back to his childhood home in the suburbs. There, he discovers his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) living exactly as they were thirty years ago, on the day they died. It’s a surreal, atmospheric dive into the guts of grief and the things we never got to say. THE PROS The performances are top-tier and carry the heavy emotional lifting. Andrew Scott is brilliant, portraying a man hollowed out by loss with an honesty that’s hard to watch but impossible to look away from. His chemistry with Paul Mescal feels grounded and raw, making their connection a highlight in a film that otherwise feels quite cold.
