⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 10/10 THE SUMMARY After Thanos wiped out half of all life, the universe is a quiet, grieving wreck. Five years later, a rat accidentally kicks Scott Lang out of the Quantum Realm, sparking a desperate plan: the Time Heist. The remaining Avengers split up to travel back to key moments in MCU history—New York in 2012, Asgard in 2013, and New Jersey in 1970—to borrow the Infinity Stones. It all culminates in a massive showdown at the ruins of the Avengers Compound, where the past, present, and future collide in one final stand to bring everyone back. THE PROS This is epic status in its purest form. It’s a three-hour celebration of everything we’ve loved for a decade, and it manages to stick the landing with quality and grace. Robert Downey Jr. gives a performance that is both punchy and sincere, providing the perfect bookend to the journey he started in 2008. The "Portals" sequence is a total win that had audiences cheering for ten minutes straight—it’s the ultimate cinematic payoff. It’s a 10/10 because it treats its characters with respect, giving Steve Rogers a winner of an ending and Thor a quality, human arc about failure and worthiness. The final "I am Iron Man" moment is pure quality drama. THE CONS It only misses perfection if you try to apply actual logic to the time travel, which can be a bit of a damp squib if you think about it for more than five seconds. The five-year time jump makes some of the earlier pacing feel slightly sluggish as we sit with the depression of the survivors. Some might find the "A-Force" team-up moment a bit forced, but honestly, in a movie this big, it’s a minor gripe that doesn't hurt the quality of the overall experience. THE VERDICT A 10/10. The production team joked that the rat should have been the one to get a "Best Supporting Actor" nod for single-handedly triggering the Time Heist.• Digital Dining: In the scenes featuring the high-tech holographic displays at the Avengers Compound and on the monitors during the Time Heist planning, the scrolling data features the legendary "sushi recipe" easter egg—the favorite recurring joke of the VFX crew that has survived every major Marvel movie for 26 years.
