⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY The Avengers are split down the middle after a mission in Lagos ends in collateral damage. The government wants the heroes on a leash via the Sokovia Accords, and Tony Stark—riddled with guilt—is all for it. Steve Rogers isn't keen on being a government puppet, especially when his old mate Bucky Barnes is framed for a terrorist bombing. It turns into an all-out family feud with heroes picking sides and a mysterious villain named Zemo pulling the strings to tear the team apart. THE PROS This is a win because it manages to juggle a massive cast without losing the plot. The airport battle is epic status—a total comic book "splash panel" come to life. It’s a 9/10 because the conflict feels earned; it’s not just blokes in capes punching each other, but a deep ideological rift with actual consequences. The fight choreography is punchy, especially the close-quarters combat involving Cap and his shield. THE CONS The pacing can feel a bit sluggish in the middle while they're debating politics and international law. Zemo is a smart villain, but his plan relies on a lot of luck and perfect timing. It misses the 10/10 mark because the "grey" color palette makes some of the action look a bit washed out, and the airport scrap feels a bit like a friendly spar compared to the brutal ending. THE VERDICT A 9/10. Epic status and arguably the best "Avengers" movie that isn't actually an Avengers movie. It’s highly recommended for the stunt work alone. Go and watch it for the stairwell fight—it’s a belter. INSOMNIAC TRIVIA • Real Strain: Chris Evans actually pulled a muscle in his arm filming the scene where he holds the helicopter back with one hand. That bicep wasn't CGI; it was pure effort and nearly ripped his arm off.• The "Underoos" Line: Robert Downey Jr. ad-libbed the line where he tells Peter Parker he’s been "performing" in a "red tracksuit." Most of the banter between Tony and Steve in the final act was tightened on set to make the rift feel more personal.• Shield Skills: To make the shield movements look realistic, the crew used a mix of physical props and CGI. Chris Evans had to learn how to catch a "dummy" shield that was thrown at him at high speeds to ensure his reactions looked authentic. THE VIBE Like a high-stakes argument at a family dinner that turns into a car chase. It smells like burnt asphalt and old secrets.
