⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Welcome to Free Eden, a high-end mall boutique in Dallas where the employees are as sharp as their eyeliner. Apple, the self-appointed ringleader, runs a literal coven in the basement with her fellow "Fruits," Cherry and Fig. They spend their nights performing blood sacrifices and chanting feminism-inspired spells to settle scores. Enter Pumpkin, the new hire who seems like a sweet pretzel-sampling girl but is actually a surveillance-obsessed outsider looking to expose the cult’s toxic secrets. It’s a neon-soaked collision of retail therapy and ritualistic murder. THE PROS Lili Reinhart is a force as Apple—she plays the gaslighting, "girl boss" cult leader with a terrifyingly sharp edge. Victoria Pedretti is a standout as the ditzy Cherry, proving again that she’s a chameleon who can make even the most nonsensical dialogue land. The mall setting is an epic backdrop for a horror-comedy; there’s something genuinely unsettling about witchy rituals happening right under a food court. It’s a decent watch because the "changing room confessions" and the catty, emoji-only rules for dating make for some punchy, dark satire on modern social hierarchies. THE CONS It earns a 7/10 because it pulls its punches until the very end, making the middle section feel a bit sluggish.
