⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke return with another "lesbian B-movie" caper, following in the footsteps of Drive-Away Dolls. Set in Bakersfield, California, the story follows Honey (Margaret Qualley), a private investigator who finds herself tangled up in a bizarre mystery involving a mysterious cult leader (Chris Evans) and a series of strange occurrences in the desert. It’s a neon-soaked, absurdist comedy that leans heavily into the weirdness of the American fringe, blending eccentric characters with a plot that feels like a fever dream. THE PROS Margaret Qualley is a total standout, bringing a chaotic and sincere energy to the lead role that keeps the movie grounded even when the plot goes off the rails.
