⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 6/10 THE SUMMARY This is a sharp, satirical thriller that dives into the cutthroat world of modern influencers and the "get rich quick" culture. We follow a group of desperate content creators who are invited to a remote, high-tech mansion by a mysterious tech billionaire (Nicholas Hoult) under the guise of a life-changing collaboration. However, the game quickly turns deadly when they realize they aren't there to make content—they’re there to be the content in a twisted social experiment where views are quite literally worth a life. It’s a cynical, bloody look at what people are willing to do for a bit of online clout. THE PROS Nicholas Hoult is a total winner as the unhinged tech mogul, playing the role with a cold, charismatic edge that makes your skin crawl. The social commentary is absolute spot on, managing to roast everything from "apology videos" to the obsession with metrics without feeling too preachy. It’s a 6/10 because the tension in the first part is genuinely gripping, building a sense of unease as the shiny luxury of the mansion begins to feel like a prison. The production design is epic status, using sleek, clinical interiors that contrast perfectly with the messy, violent chaos that unfolds. It’s also got some punchy humor that lands well, especially when the characters prioritize their lighting even while running for their lives. THE CONS It earns a 6/10 because the final part feels like a bit of a letdown compared to the buildup, opting for a generic slasher ending rather than sticking to the cleverer psychological stuff.
