However, the serene atmosphere quickly turns into a gritty nightmare when Cecilia discovers she is miraculously pregnant. As she is hailed as the new Virgin Mary, she begins to uncover the visceral and dark secrets hidden within the convent's walls. What was supposed to be a sincere spiritual journey becomes a pained fight for survival against a cult-like obsession with a divine, terrifying plan.
