⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Ten years after the Jigsaw Killer’s autopsy, the city is suddenly littered with fresh corpses, each bearing the signature puzzle-piece cut. As Detectives Halloran and Hunt follow a trail of blood to forensic pathologist Logan Nelson and a trap-obsessed fanatic named Eleanor, a group of five strangers awakens in a booby-trapped barn. They must confess their past sins or face a gauntlet of buzzsaws, acid, and grain silos. The investigation suggests the impossible: John Kramer might have cheated death, or a new disciple is determined to reconstruct his legacy from the ground up. THE PROS This entry is a win for its visual polish, ditching the "grimy green" aesthetic of the earlier sequels for a cleaner, high-def look that makes the gore pop. The "Barn Game" is a total belter for its creativity, specifically the spiral wire trap and the grain silo sequence which provide a celebratory explosion of tension. Tobin Bell’s inevitable return is handled with a sincere weight that reminds everyone why he's the heart of the franchise.
