⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY Barry Allen wakes up in a world he doesn’t recognize. His mother is alive, he has no powers, and the Justice League doesn't exist. This isn't a dream—it’s a nightmare. In this timeline, Aquaman’s Atlantis and Wonder Woman’s Themyscira are locked in a world-ending war that has decimated Europe. Desperate to fix things, Barry tracks down Batman, only to find a brutal, gin-soaked Thomas Wayne instead of Bruce. It is a violent, mind-bending race against time to stop the Paradox before the entire planet is wiped off the map. THE PROS This is a win for anyone who thinks superhero movies are just for kids. It is a sincere masterclass in "Elseworlds" storytelling, taking familiar icons and twisting them into terrifying versions of themselves. The relationship between Barry and the alternate Batman is a total belter, providing a dark, emotional core to the chaos. The action is a celebratory explosion of high-stakes brutality, particularly the final battle in London, which remains one of the most visceral sequences in animation history. It successfully manages to be both a pulse-pounding thriller and a heartbreaking character study. THE CONS It earns a 9/10 because, while it is an outstanding piece of work, it misses the 10/10 epic status due to the animation style, which is a bit of a head-scratcher; the hyper-muscular character designs can look a bit clunky and distracting during the quieter scenes.
