⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY Aisling is a young woman living on a remote farm, paralyzed by the weight of a recent family tragedy. Her world is literally cracked open when a star falls from the sky during a solar eclipse, taking the form of an elderly man named Raphael. Raphael entrusts Aisling with a "living light"—a fragment of his power that can heal wounds and change reality. Along with Joshua, a man running from his own wealthy but toxic family, Aisling must protect Raphael from a group of ruthless hunters who want to weaponize the fallen star’s power for profit. THE PROS John Rhys-Davies is a win as Raphael; he brings a grandfatherly warmth and a touch of the "old school" fantasy gravitas that fans of 'Lord of the Rings' will love. The visual concept of a "living light" that reacts to human emotion is an epic touch, giving the film some truly beautiful, glowing set pieces. It’s a decent watch because it feels like a modern fable, blending urban grit with high-fantasy elements in a way that feels punchy and unique.
