    ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY When the exiled Asgardian god Loki arrives on Earth to seize the Tesseract, Director Nick Fury is forced to activate the "Avengers Initiative." This unlikely team—comprising a billionaire in a metal suit, a frozen super-soldier, a literal god, a rage-monster, and two world-class assassins—must learn to play nice before Loki’s Chitauri army flattens New York. It’s the ultimate crossover event that proved Marvel wasn't just playing around, turning a decade of buildup into a massive, city-leveling showdown. THE PROS The chemistry between the core six is a winner, with the script delivering punchy banter that actually feels human. Mark Ruffalo’s debut as Bruce Banner is pure quality; he brings a weary, gentle soul to the character that makes the "I'm always angry" reveal even more of a payoff. It’s a 9/10 because the Battle of New York is epic status—it set the benchmark for how to shoot team-based action without it looking like a cluttered mess. Tom Hiddleston is a total standout as Loki, providing a villain with enough charm and menace to ground the high-stakes chaos. The score is a genuine classic that perfectly captures the "heroic" vibe without being cheesy. THE CONS It earns a 9/10 because the first part is a bit of a slow burn, taking a while to get the team in the same room, which can feel sluggish on a re-watch. Some of the costume designs, particularly Captain America’s bright spandex suit, look a bit quality-deficient compared to his more grounded look in 'The First Avenger'. INSOMNIAC TRIVIA • Shawarma Success: The famous post-credits scene where the team eats in silence was filmed a day after the global premiere. Chris Evans had to hide a prosthetic jaw and a full beard he’d grown for another movie, which is why Captain America is just leaning on his hand and not eating a single bite. • Science Bros: The friendship between Tony Stark and Bruce Banner wasn't just in the script. Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo became close mates on set, leading to a lot of improvised "science talk" that helped make their bond feel sincere and natural. • Hulk’s Voice: While Mark Ruffalo provided the motion capture for the Hulk, the actual roars and grunts were provided by Lou Ferrigno, the actor who played the Hulk in the original 1970s TV series.
