Their journey takes them beneath their sleepy coastal town into a subterranean world of booby traps, skeletons, and a legendary pirate ship belonging to One-Eyed Willy. Along the way, they have to outrun the Fratellis—a bumbling but dangerous crime family—while forming an unlikely bond with the misunderstood powerhouse, Sloth. It’s the ultimate childhood fantasy, capturing the raw spirit of friendship and the magic of "the goon docks." THE PROS This is a perfect 10 because it captures a feeling that modern cinema rarely touches—the pure, unpolished chaos of being a kid. The chemistry between the group is honest and frantic, with everyone talking over each other in a way that feels like a real gang of friends. It hits the "epic" status because the sets are incredible; the underground caverns and the massive pirate ship were built to scale, giving the actors genuine wonder to react to.
