⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARYClay Jensen finds a mysterious box of cassette tapes on his porch recorded by his late classmate Hannah Baker, detailing the thirteen reasons she decided to end her life. What starts as a haunting, grounded look at grief and accountability quickly spirals into a web of high school cover-ups and absolute madness. The series begins as an intense, heartbreaking adaptation of the novel before evolving into a wild ride of court cases, murder mysteries, and questionable ghost hallucinations. THE PROSThe first season is a total powerhouse adaptation that completely captured the cultural zeitgeist. The cassette tapes format builds an incredible amount of tension that pulls you right into the mystery from the opening episode. The acting across the entire young cast is genuinely brilliant, and it handles heavy, raw topics with the serious weight they deserve, making it completely unmissable television early on. THE CONSOnce the source material ran out, the writers completely lost the plot. It transformed from a grounded, emotional narrative into a chaotic teen thriller filled with increasingly ridiculous twists. By the end, Clay is literally chatting to ghosts and fighting riot police like he is Jason Bourne, stretching the entire premise way too thin and turning a serious drama into an exhausting soap opera. THE VERDICTA solid 7/10. It is a culturally significant and highly addictive watch that starts with genuine emotional weight but slowly derails into messy sensationalism. It hits the mark because that first season was an unforgettable piece of television, but it misses an 8 because the later seasons chose absolute chaos over coherent storytelling. Stick to the beginning and it is great, but buckle up if you binge the lot. THE VIBELike finding an old mixtape in the bottom of your locker that completely ruins your week. It smells like rainy bus rides, cheap coffee, and teenage angst. It is heavy, controversial, and unapologetically dramatic. It makes you want to throw your Walkman out the window, hug your friends, and realize that high school is complicated enough without adding a sprawling conspiracy to the mix.
