⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY If you think a cartoon about a six-year-old Blue Heeler is just for nippers, you’re in for a massive surprise. Bluey (2018–Present) follows the daily adventures of Bluey, her sister Bingo, and their parents, Bandit and Chilli, in the suburbs of Brisbane. Instead of the usual mind-numbing children's telly, it witty-ly focuses on the power of imaginative play and the sincere, sometimes messy reality of modern family life. It’s a high-octane celebration of childhood that manages to be more profound in seven minutes than most hour-long dramas in the vault. THE PROS This is a 9/10 because it’s highly recommended for literally everyone with a pulse. The writing is spot on—it’s sincere, funny, and possesses a 100% authentic emotional core that will have adults sobbing into their tea. Bandit and Chilli are top-tier parenting goals, portrayed with a witty, relatable exhaustion that makes the 900+ archive of "perfect" TV parents look a bit wet. The animation is a total win, capturing the sun-drenched vibe of Australia perfectly. Episodes like "Sleepytime" and "The Sign" are genuine masterclasses in storytelling that earn their place at the top of the archive.
