⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Angelo Doyle leads a double life that makes a mid-life crisis look like a spa day. By day, he’s a boring photocopier salesman in upstate New York; by night, he’s a lethal hitman for the mob. The catch? He’s just been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. As his memory starts to fray, the "brick wall" he built between his family and his body counts begins to crumble. It’s a high-stakes thriller where the biggest threat isn't the police or the rival gangs—it's his own brain betraying him at the worst possible moment. THE PROS Patrick Dempsey is the best thing about this. Seeing "McDreamy" trade his surgical scrubs for a silencer and a darker, more desperate edge is a massive change that really works. He plays the confusion of the fugue states perfectly, making you actually feel for a guy who kills people for a living. The tension is top-tier because you never know if he’s going to remember his mission or forget where he is mid-hit. It also has a great supporting cast, including Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), who adds some weight to the crime side of the story. THE CONS It misses a 9/10 because the "hidden double life" tropes can feel a bit thin sometimes. We’ve seen the "secret agent dad" thing before, and the show occasionally relies on some pretty convenient coincidences to keep his family from finding out the truth. It settles at an 8 because, while the memory loss twist is fresh, the secondary subplots with the FBI can feel a bit like a procedural you’ve seen on Fox a dozen times already.
