⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 6/10 THE SUMMARYThe 2009 reboot that tried to give the 80s cult classic a sleek, modern facelift but ended up feeling like it was wearing a suit that didn't quite fit. V follows the arrival of "The Visitors," a seemingly benevolent alien race led by the stunningly calm Anna (Morena Baccarin), who park giant motherships over 29 major cities and offer universal healthcare in exchange for some "minor" resources. FBI agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell) quickly discovers that under that flawless skin lies a lizard-like reality and a decades-long plan to infiltrate human society. By April 2026, it’s remembered as a show with massive "Prestige" potential that unfortunately got bogged down in its own lizard skin. THE PROSThe casting of the female leads is a "Guaranteed Banger." Morena Baccarin is a Masterpiece of predatory grace; she plays Anna with a terrifying, unblinking stillness that makes you want to join the Peace Ambassadors just to stay on her good side. Elizabeth Mitchell brings that 100% authentic "mom-on-a-mission" grit we loved in *Lost*. The visual effects were feature-film quality for 2009, making the motherships look genuinely imposing over the skylines.
