Overview

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. ⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 10/10 THE SUMMARY Thanos, a purple extremist with a serious case of "savior complex," has finally stepped out of his floating chair to collect the six Infinity Stones. His goal: wipe out half of all life to "balance" the universe. The Avengers, still split after their Civil War, have to fight a desperate multi-front war. Iron Man and Spider-Man head to space with Doctor Strange, while Captain America and the Secret Avengers defend Vision in Wakanda. It’s a relentless, high-stakes race against time that ends with the most shocking snap in cinematic history. THE PROS This is epic status. Josh Brolin’s Thanos is a total win; he’s not just a big CGI baddie, but a complex, tragic figure who genuinely believes he’s the hero of the story. The pacing is punchy from the first minute, balancing dozens of characters without ever feeling sluggish. Seeing Thor’s arrival in Wakanda with Stormbreaker is a winner that still gives me goosebumps in 2026—it’s pure quality. It’s a 10/10 because it dared to let the villain win, giving us a sincere and devastating ending that changed the MCU forever. The chemistry between clashing egos, like Star-Lord and Iron Man, is quality comedy. THE CONS It only misses perfection if you’re a massive fan of Hawkeye or Ant-Man, as their absence feels like a bit of a damp squib for the "all-in" team-up vibe. The CGI on Mark Ruffalo’s head inside the Hulkbuster armor looks a bit quality-deficient in a few shots, standing out against the otherwise incredible visuals. Some might find the cliffhanger ending a bit of a head-scr—actually, it’s just a massive gut-punch that leaves you wanting more. THE VERDICT A 10/10. Epic status and arguably the best pacing of any superhero movie ever made. It’s a winner for the stakes, the scale, and the sheer bravery of that final scene. INSOMNIAC TRIVIA • Grimace Greeting: When Star-Lord first meets Thanos on Titan, he calls him "Grimace," a reference to the purple McDonald's mascot. This was an ad-lib by Chris Pratt that was so quality the directors kept it in.• Wakandan War Cry: The iconic "Yibambe!" chant used by the Wakandan army wasn't in the original script. Winston Duke (M’Baku) started doing it on set to get the extras hyped up, and the Russo brothers loved the energy so much they made it a central part of the battle.• Digital Dining: In the scenes featuring the high-tech holographic displays on the Ebony Maw’s ship and the monitors in the Avengers' Quinjet, the scrolling "alien" code contains a hidden sushi recipe—the favorite recurring easter egg of the VFX crew that has officially survived into the Infinity War. THE VIBE Like a ticking time bomb in a beautiful cathedral. It smells like burnt ozone, expensive cologne, and impending doom.
