Overview

⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Zoë Kravitz makes a razor-sharp directorial debut with this twisted psychological thriller that feels like "Get Out" met a high-fashion fever dream. Naomi Ackie stars as Frida, a struggling cocktail waitress who finesses her way into the inner circle of tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum). When he invites her and her best mate Jess (Alia Shawkat) to his private island for a hedonistic getaway, it looks like a dream of endless champagne and sun-drenched parties. But as the days bleed together and Jess suddenly vanishes, Frida realizes the "paradise" is a meticulously crafted trap. It’s a brutal, visually stunning exploration of power, memory, and the lengths people go to for control. THE PROS Channing Tatum is a total winner here, delivering an against-type performance that is equal parts charming and chilling; he’s never been more effective.
